Rebrand FAQs
EPIC Youth – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for Families, Students, and Partners
1. What is EPIC Youth?
EPIC Youth is an empowerment and mentorship organization that equips young people with the leadership, academic, and career-readiness skills they need to succeed. We have built on the impact of Eryn PiNK Girl Empowerment and Boys of ICE Empowerment, and while those programs continue, we fulfill our mission through four key pathways:
- In-School Programs – Providing students with leadership development and practical life skills that complement academic learning.
- EPIC Leadership Academies – Immersive leadership experiences tailored by age and gender, equipping students with the tools to lead in school, careers, and their communities.
- Mentorship Programs – Connecting students with experienced mentors for personal growth, guidance, and support.
- Youth-Focused Events & Conferences – Hosting impactful workshops, networking opportunities, and leadership experiences for students.
Through these pathways, we help young people develop self-confidence, leadership skills, academic success, and career readiness.
2. Why did you rebrand to EPIC Youth?
As our programs grew, so did our vision. We saw the need to expand beyond middle and high school programming to offer lifelong opportunities for growth. The rebrand allows us to serve more youth, families, and communities through:
- Post-secondary programs for college-age students.
- Family engagement initiatives to equip parents and caregivers with resources to support student success.
- An expanded youth center serving schools, families, and other youth-serving organizations.
3. What is staying the same?
- Eryn PiNK Girl Empowerment and Boys of ICE Empowerment will remain gender-focused programs that continue their work in confidence-building and leadership development.
- Our mentorship programs, leadership academies, and in-school initiatives will continue to be core aspects of our work.
4. How does this change affect students currently in the program?
Students will continue receiving mentorship, leadership training, and career readiness support as they always have, but now with additional pathways for long-term success as they progress through high school and beyond.
6. Will EPIC Youth’s mission change?
No, but it will expand. Our core mission remains the same—empowering youth through mentorship, leadership development, and real-world experiences. The rebrand allows us to provide more opportunities for students and families at every stage of their journey.
7. Does this rebrand impact how EPIC Youth is funded?
The rebrand creates new opportunities to align with higher education initiatives, workforce development, and family engagement programs, allowing us to expand our funding sources. This means more partnerships, donor opportunities, and community collaborations to increase our long-term sustainability.
8. How can students and partners get involved with EPIC Youth?
- Students can join by enrolling in our EPIC Leadership Academies with enrollment opening each fall and our EPIC Summer Program or by participating in our signature events.
- Community partners can support EPIC Youth through sponsorship, volunteering, career mentorship, and collaborative programs.
